SEBAGO (AP) — A Maine man charged in the fatal shooting of his former brother- in- law has been ordered held without bail.
Sixty- seven- year- o l d David Pinkham of Bridgton made his first court appearance Monday after being charged over the weekend with murder.
Pinkham is accused of killing 66-year-old Charlie Cross outside the man’s Sebago home on Saturday. Police have yet to identify a motive.
According to police, Cross’ girlfriend told them the two men chatted about cars and apartments before Cross followed Pinkham outside to say goodbye. She told police she looked out the window and saw Cross lying in a snowbank after hearing gunshots.
One of Pinkham’s neighbors said the man had recently bought a gun. He had a .38-caliber revolver with him when he was arrested.
