Kathleen “Kitty” S. Hunt of Brunswick, Maine passed away March 13, 2016. Kitty was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Aug. 29, 1919, the daughter of Melvin and Kathleen Mead.

She graduated from Kingswood- Cranbrook School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan. She married Dana Poole Seeley in 1939 who predeceased her in 1943. In 1946 she married Moreau Crosby Hunt. They were married for over 50 years until Mo’s death in 1997.

Mo and Kitty lived for many years in Deerfield, Massachusetts. They retired first to Marion, Massachusetts and then to Burlington, Vermont. Kitty was a member of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Burlington and the Fortnightly Club.

She leaves three children, Ann Seeley Daub and husband Bill of Hudson, Michigan, Dana Seeley Hirth and husband Dave of Brunswick, Maine, and Moreau Crosby Hunt, Jr. and wife Deborah of Cedar Key, Florida, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves one sister, Mary Ann Wallace of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She was predeceased by a brother, the Rt. Reverend William H. Mead, Bishop of Delaware, in 1974 and a sister, Margaret M. Carr, of Southport, North Carolina in 2004.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Horizons Rehab and Living Center in Brunswick for their love and care in Kitty’s final months.
