CANAAN (AP) — Maine state police say a Canaan youth pastor is in custody — charged with sexually abusing a young girl.
Authorities say 37-year-old Lucas Savage of Clinton is charged with unlawful sexual contact. He is the youth pastor at the Canaan Calvary Church.
Police say Savage was arrested Friday night and is being held at the Kennebec County jail. Detectives said the abuse occurred at Savage’s home and that they are keeping the investigation open because they don’t know if there are additional victims. They did not specify the age of the girl.
It was not immediately known if Savage has a lawyer. A call to his home went unanswered.
