KENNEBUNK BEACH — Registration is open for the 106th season at the Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association. This summer, KBIA will offer eight weeks of summer recreational and enrichment classes for ages 2 to 17, starting June 27.

KBIA will waive the membership fee for all Week 1 participants (June 27-July 1) as a way for first-time families to try out KBIA with no commitment.

The nonprofit summer camp offers swimming, sailing, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, diving, golf, tennis, drama, arts and crafts, sailing trips and woodworking among its 50-plus course offerings. Other popular options include counselor-in-training classes, marine biology, reading, pottery, sculpture and beach games.

All classes are open to KBIA members, and membership is open to the public. Campers register by the week, and classes are offered a la carte or as a “bundle” for morning and/or afternoon sessions. Family memberships include twice-daily open swim for children, weekly beach bonfire and barbecues followed by movie night, open sail/kayaks on most weekends and a Seaside Celebration for adults.
