The Scarborough Kindness Project is holding a special Compassion Dialogue event on Tuesday, April 26, 7-9 p.m., at Town Hall.

The free event will include the screening of a Ted Talk about compassion, as well as a panel of locals talking about the state of compassion in town and what could be done to spread more kindness and compassion.

In addition, the kindness project will also reveal its new State of Compassion in Scarborough report. Audience questions and conversation will be welcome at the conclusion of the panelists’ presentation.

The featured panelists are Sara Fitzpatrick, president of the Interact Club at Scarborough High School; Police Chief Robbie Moulton; Kerem Durdag, a philanthropist, essayist and poet; Lynn Gierie, founder of the Robbie Foundation; Heather Dallas, co-founder of Making It Home; and Peter Hayes, a Scarborough councilor and principal at Healthcare Solutions.

Any civic organizations or clubs, schools or other groups that would like to be featured in the State of Compassion report should send their name and a brief description of their mission, along with a statement on the top two or three proudest achievements from the past year and their future goals to [email protected].
