SCARBOROUGH — Carlton James Kaler, 65, of Biddeford, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough following a long illness.
He was born Nov. 7, 1950, to John Fred and Helen Lucina (Nason) Kaler. He was a graduate of Thornton Academy and the University of Southern Maine in Portland.
Following graduation from USM, he started working for Maremont, where he remained through its many transitions to General Dynamics until his retirement after 42 years.
On Sept. 12, 1975, he married Jeannette Amanda Morrison at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 40 years, Jeannette Kaler of Biddeford; one daughter, Amanda Sigler and her husband Charles of Biddeford; four grandchildren, Katherine Petrin, Brianna Petrin, Brady Kaler and Koralyn Sigler; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
All services will be private. The family would like send a heartfelt “thank you” for all the care that Carlton received at both Fresenious Dialysis Center and Gosnell Memorial Hospice.
