Paige Daigle exploded for five goals and an assist as the Morse High School girls lacrosse team rolled to a 13-2 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over Camden Hills on Friday.

Madison Olsen, Amanda Gagne and Noa Sreden added two goals apiece in the win, while Olsen dished out two helpers, with Gagne and Sreden adding one assist each. Isabelle Paulus pitched in two goals, with Karen Yurek adding two assists. Mae Winglass and Isabella Monbouquette each picked up a helper.

Down 1-0, Morse scored seven unanswered goals for a 7-1 halftime lead. A four-goal spurt to open the second half put the game away for the Shipbuilders.

Katherine Orne and Eve Gutheinz scored a goal each for the Windjammers (1-1).

Sophie Wilson had one save in goal for Morse, which returns to action on Thursday against Winslow at Thomas College in Waterville. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start.

BRUNSWICK 8

The Red Riots picked up their first win with a crossover victory over Brunswick on Saturday.

Mary Cronin led South Portland (1-2) with six goals and three assists.

For Brunswick (0-2), Sarah Ferdinand picked up four goals and Amelia Hawley had two.

In goal, Dragons keeper Mikaela Aschbrenner had 16 saves.

Brunswick visits Cony on Tuesday.

Boys

YARMOUTH — Aiden Glover tallied five goals to lead visiting Brunswick to an 11-7 victory over Yarmouth on Saturday.

The Dragons improved to 4-0 and visits Morse on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Josh Dorr chipped in two goals in the win.

Matt Beatty had three goals and an assist for 1-2 Yarmouth.
