SOUTH PORTLAND — Two film directors who live in Biddeford will see their work premiere May 12 at the 6th Annual Maine Mayhem Film Festival at the Nickelodeon theater in Portland.
The Biddeford men, Kyle Gravel, who is originally of Winslow, and Jack Rohner, originally from Belgrade, will premiere two of the five films being shown. They are both students at Southern Maine Community College.
Gravel is the director of the movie “White Skies”, a science fiction thriller set in the 1990s. It follows two friends that stumble upon an alien crash site that alters their world.
Rohner was the director of photography for “White Skies.” As well, he co-produced and was director of photography for the movie “Waters,” a coming-of-age story that looks at the hardships of losing loved ones and the importance of having meaningful bonds.
