BATH — Wilson’s of the Bath Cal Ripken baseball league has opened the season with three straight wins.
In opening-day action, Wilson’s rolled to a 15-0 victory over Smith-Tobey. Zack Carpenter singled and hustled his way for an inside the park home run. Braeden Cunningham also had a home run, while Connor Campbell, Caleb Sommers, Drew Jackson and Caleb Harvey each singled.
Sommers, Jackson and Campbell combined for the shutout.
Jackson Delano and Jackson Murry had hits for Smith-Tobey.
In a 9-3 win over Lisbon, walks and stolen bases were Wilson’s offensive tools. Sommers pitched two innings with four strikeouts, Jackson had three punch outs in two innings and Campbell pitched well over the final two frames.
Wilson’s completed its solid start with a 12-11 victory over Bath Iron Works.
Sommers and Dayson Nygen had singles, and Sommers, Jackson and Campbell again pitched the team to the narrow victory.
BIW was paced by Gage Suitter, Colby Dolan and Kiernan Mann at the plate.
