BATH — The Bath Middle School softball team outscored Brunswick Junior High by a score of 20-15 recently.
Dory Kulis lead Bath with a double and two singles, while Giorgia Fisher pitched in with two singles. Brook Kulis, Abby Carpenter, Paige Faulkingham, Julia Goddard, Catelyn Bradford, Hailie Johnson and Katelyn Anderson all contributed with a single each.
Bath led 20-6 until Brunswick came back, scoring nine runs in the fourth inning.
Brunswick’s offense was led by Hannah Fortier, Nadia Sinsmyr, Betsy Orlando and Chloe Coombs with two singles each, while Greta Anesko, Emma Lind and Jada Westerfield each singled.
Brook Kulis pitched two innings for Bath, striking out one and walking five. Goddard pitched the remaining three innings, striking out two and walking four.
Fortier started the pitching duties for Brunswick, striking out, and Orlando finished the game with one strikeout and five walks.
Faulkingham was a defensive standout in the field for Bath, as well as Carpenter behind the plate. Anesko stood out defensively at second base for Brunswick.
