Chowder luncheon – Friday, June 3, and every Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. Bowl of haddock chowder with crackers, $9; or lobster roll lunch with chips, $10; cup of chowder, $6; combination lobster roll with cup opf chowder, $13. All lunches include fresh baked bread, pickle, cookie and beverage. Takeouts available.

Public supper – Saturday, June 4, 5 p.m., West Gorham Union Church, 190 Ossipee Trail (Route 25 three miles west of Gorham Village, Gorham. Three kinds of beans, hot dogs, chicken pie, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, homemade pies, coffee and punch. Ticket sales start at 4 p.m. $8, $3.
Barbecue chicken supper – Saturday, June 4, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Stewart P. Morrill Post 35, 413 Broadway, South Portland. Barbecue chicken, potato salad, green beans, cole slaw, bread, dsssert and beverages. $8, $3.
Free turkey dinner – Saturday, June 4, 5-6:30 p.m., Chicopee Methodist Church, Chicopee Road, Buxton. Turkey supper with the fixings. All welcome.
Bean supper – Saturday, June 4, 4:320-6 p.m., White Rock Community Club, Wilson Road (off Route 237), Gorham. Two kinds of beans, hort dogs, cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, homemade biscuits and pies. $8, $4.

VFW meal – Wednesday, June 8, 5-6:30 p.m., VFW Post 832, Peary Terrace, South Portland. BLTs, cole slaw, fries and dessert. $7.
