TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School freshman baseball team picked up a doubleheader sweep of Greely on Wednesday.
In the opener, Austin Damon had two hits, including a double in the Eagles’ 5-4 win. Ben Freeman doubled, while Dakota Lopez, Cade Charron and Willy Kavanaugh each singled.
On the mound, Freeman went six innings and combined with Lopez on seven strikeouts and two walks.
Mt. Ararat received a complete game three-hitter from Devin Tobin in a 3-0 win in the nightcap.
Tobin struck out four and walked one.
Hunter Lohr singled to lead the offense, while Tobin doubled, and Charron and Daniel Pratt each singled.
Mt. Ararat finished with a 10-5 record.
