The Rams walloped visiting Massabesic on Tuesday, June 7, piling up 20 goals to the Mustangs’ five and breezing through the first round of the playoffs. Alex York had seven of Gorham’s goals, Cam Wright five and Tristan Brunet three.

No. 3 Gorham entered the tournament at 10-2; No. 6 Massabesic, meanwhile, entered at 5-7.

When the teams clashed in the regular season, back on May 10, the Rams also emerged victorious, 17-3.

The Rams’ next matchup is slated for Saturday the 11th; they will play either Westbrook or Biddeford, who met in another quarterfinals bout on Wednesday the 8th, after the American Journal’s print deadline.
