Documentary, musical

to screen at library

“The War Room,” a documentary film presented by the Merrill Film Society, will be screened Wednesday, June 22, at 7 p.m., at Merrill Memorial Library, 215 Main St., Yarmouth. Made by D.A. Pennebaker and his artistic partner, Chris Hegadus, the documentary gives a fly-on-the-wall view of the day-to-day operations of Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign.

On Monday, June 27, at 1 p.m., the musical “Moulin Rouge!” will be shown. A poet falls for a beautiful courtesan whom a jealous duke covets in this stylish musical, with music drawn from familiar 20th-century sources. The movie stars Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman.
