TOPSHAM — Mary Ellen Glennon, age 83, died Tuesday May 24, 2016 at the Highlands, Topsham.
She was born March 12, 1933 in Portland, ME a daughter of Leland and Stella Williams Arris. She earned a nursing degree in 1971 from the Maine School of Practical Nursing, and was later employed at Regional Hospital in Brunswick, Maine where she met her husband Timothy Glennon. She married Timothy Glennon in September of 1972 in Lisbon, Maine. Mr. Glennon died November 17, 2014.
She was also predeceased by her two daughters, Jan Peterson and Joann Peterson; a brother, Leland Arris.
She is survived by two brothers, Gerald Arris and wife Autumn of Yarmouth, Me, Granville Arris of Brunswick Me; three sisters, Teresa Grier of Gray, Christine Mayo and her husband Tim of Topsham, Beatrice Arris of Topsham; a brother in law, Richard Glennon and his wife Patty of Rochester, NY; and one grandchild. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday June 25, 2016 at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal street, Brunswick, ME 04011.
