
Owners Sarah Cronin and Natalya Nikitina are joined by family members at a ribbon-cutting June 16 for their new boutique, The Rustic Arrow, at 25 Bow St. in Freeport. The shop offers contempory clothing and accessories.

Renovations are being made at 32 Main St. in Freeport, a building owned by Dottie Bowe of Freeport, to accommodate Bowe Art Gallery, which will be run by her son, Scott Bowe, a Portland artist. The building houses The Body Shop and Allen Edmonds shoes on the Main Street side, and for 10 years was home to Wicked Whoopies, which moved to a larger space up Main Street, and Just a Jewelry Store. Bowe Art Gallery will open on July 1.

Sam Slowikokwski, a ranger’s assistant at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal, explains the park’s trail system to visitors on a beautiful Thursday morning last week. There was a line of cars waiting to get in the park.
