The South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Rotary Club has raised money and provided gift cards for food and gas to assit Maine’s homeless veterans. In addition, the club has provided toasters, coffeemakers, cookware sets, bedding and cell phones. In all, the club’s contribution for the Rotary year has exceeded $5,500, according to a press release from the club.

“Sadly, many of the patriotic men and women of Maine who served our country are now homeless and have numerous needs. Rotarians are pleased to be able to help,” said Scott Irving, president of the local Rotary Club.
