MILFORD, N.H. — Rejeanne A. Champoux, 91, of Milford, N.H., formerly of Biddeford, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Milford after a long illness.

She was born in Biddeford on Dec. 17, 1924, the daughter of Honore (Henry) and Marie (Mary) Dubois Gosselin. She was educated in Biddeford schools.

Mrs. Champoux worked at the Saco Mill for many years. On June 1, 1946, she married Florian “Champ” G. Champoux in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Saco. In 1956, they relocated to Massachusetts. They raised their four daughters in Melrose, Massachusetts, where they resided for 25 years.

Rejeanne was very diverse in her talents. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting and painting ceramics, was an incredible cook and baker, and loved the Boston Red Sox. She worked for many years as head of the cleaning and laundry departments at a local nursing home in Melrose.

She was preceded in death by: three sisters, Pauline Molodozon, Rita Paul and Madeleine Neault; and her husband of 58 years, Florian.

She is survived by: four daughters, Joan P. Champoux of Milford, New Hampshire, Janet M. Tuttle and her husband Carl of Hudson, New Hampshire, June G. Mueller and her husband James of Westford, Massachusetts, and Joyce A. Colantuoni and her husband Robert of New Ipswich, New Hampshire; one sister, Monique Skillings Conroy of Jupiter, Florida; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 10- 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at noon at St. Anne’s Chapel in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
