Brian Jandreau has been selected as interim principal at Gorham High School for the upcoming school year.

Jandreau, assistant principal at the high school for the past three years, follows Christopher Record, previous principal who is now Gorham’s assistant superintendent. Assistant Gorham High School Principal Kim Slipp will assist Jandreau.

“We believe that Mr. Jandreau is uniquely poised to lead and help guide GHS through the next school year,” a statement released July 3 by Superintendent Heather Perry said.

The School Department will now seek to hire an interim assistant principal and will advertise the principal’s position in the winter of 2017, the release said.

Jandreau, formerly an English teacher at South Portland High School for 10 years,  had been an assistant principal for two years at Massabesic Middle School in Waterboro before being named assistant principal at Gorham High School.
