‘NOWisNOW’ performs at Riverbank Park

The summer concert series features “NOWisNOW” from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, in Riverbank Park on Main Street. A trio, the band was formed in 2001 by singer-songwriter Mitch Alden and performs in more than 200 appearances annually. American Legion Post 62 provides a cash barbecue from 5-7 p.m. The free concert series through Aug. 24.

History Room welcomes visitors
The History Room at Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main St., features histories of towns, photographs, scrapbook collections, Westbrook High School yearbooks and newspapers, including the Westbrook American/American Journal issues 1951 to present. 18th century gardening topic at Tate House
Anne Perkins will lecture about 18th century gardening at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at the Tate House Museum, 1267 Westbrook St., in the Stroudwater area of Portland. Perkins, a professional gardener, is co-chair of the Landscape Committee at the Gen. Henry Knox Museum in Thomaston. The lecture is part of a summer series and light refreshments will be served. Trash collection put off for a day
