BIDDEFORD — Jean Guy Paquet, 68, of Biddeford, died of natural causes on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at his home.

He was born in St. Zacharie, Quebec, Canada, on Feb. 17, 1948, the son of Joseph F.X. and Aleonore Poulin Paquet. He was educated in Canadian schools.

Mr. Paquet came to the local area in 1967. On July 3, 1971, he married Priscilla Y. Pepin in St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. She died on Oct. 6, 2008.

Jean Guy worked for 40 years with Goodyear Tire in Westbrook, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed working around his summer camp in Canada.

He is survived by: one son, Jean Guy Paquet Jr. and his fiancée Bev Levesque of Biddeford; two daughters,

Tammy Crowe and her fiancé Nelson Dumont of Saco, and Jennifer Koch and her husband Warren of Fort Walton, Florida; four sisters, Claire Bennard of Montreal, Quebec, Huguette Faucher and her husband Rene, Normande Drouin and her husband Denis, and Micheline Santerre, all of Saint-Georges de Beauce, Quebec; six grandchildren, Aaron, Joseph, Justin, Travis, Matthew and Tiffany; one great-granddaughter, Callie; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
