Bean-hole bean supper – Saturday, July 16, 4:30-6 p.m., United Church of Christ at North Gorham, 4 Satndish Neck Road, Gorham. Authentic bean-hole beans baked overnight in the ground, red hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, brown bread and homemade pies. $9, $5.
Pot roast supper – Saturday, July 16, 5-6:30 p.m., Raymond Village Community Church, 27 Main St., Raymond. Pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, carrots, roll, drinks and brownies and ice cream. $10, $5.

Kale fest – Saturday, July 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Steep Falls Farmers Market, corner of routes 11 and 113, Steep Falls (Standish). Tastings and recipes of various kale dishes to answer the question, what do I do with kale?
Free meal – Wednesday, July 20, 5-6 p.m., Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St., Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food programs and Trinity Lutheran Church. Handicapped accessible and free parking.
VFW meal – – Wednesday, July 20, 5-6:30 p.m., VFW Post 832, Peary Terrace, South Portland. Roast pork, mashed potatoes, veggies, rolls and dessert. $7.
Public supper – Saturday, July 23, 4:30-6 p.m., First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport, 141 North St., Kennebunkport. Beans and American chop suey, hot dogs, cole slaw, bread, dessert and beverage. $8, $4.
