The Westbrook American reported on Aug. 1, 1956, that Mr. and Mrs. Otis Wyer and their daughter, Roberta, of Westbrook, were entertaining a couple from Bismark, N. D., who were former Westbrook residents, at their summer home at Higgins Beach.
Gorham Kiwanis Club was planning its annual auction at the Fire Station with Edgar Carswell serving as auctioneer.
