PHIPPSBURG — Charlie E. Wallace, 64, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2016 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

He was born in Bath on October 6, 1951, a son of Arthur (Gus) and Doris Wallace. He attended Phippsburg schools and in 1971 graduated from Morse High School in Bath. He was employed as a lobsterman and also worked in construction and carpentry all his life.

Charlie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, spending time on the water and especially spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jody L. Wallace of Phippsburg, his mother, Doris Avery of Alabama, his son, Chuck Wallace and his wife Valerie of Cornville, ME, his daughter, Tammy Whitmore of Mansfield, Ohio, two brothers, Butch Wallace and his wife Rhonda of Bangor and Dwight (Ike) Wallace and his wife Diane of Phippsburg, three sisters, Mary Ann Pierce and her husband Ed of Illinois, Dottie Payne and her husband Jerry of Alabama and Holly Suddeth of Alabama, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Butch Pinkham and wife Brenda Pinkham, brother-in-law Jeff Harris (“My Friend”) and wife Sherry Harris (Tauntie).

A Celebration of Charlie’s Life will be held on August 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the home of his brother, Ike and Diane Wallace in Sebasco.
