PORTLAND — The University of Southern Maine and Southern Maine Community College announced a partnership that allows some SMCC students to seamlessly transfer to USM.

The two colleges have 11 agreements that streamline the transfer process in a program called Connected Pathways. USM has similar partnerships with York County Community College and Central Maine Community College.

In a separate agreement, USM and SMCC will share a a full-time faculty position in both colleges’ hospitality programs.
