UPTON — Susan Irene Wildes, 63, a resident of Upton, formerly of Kennebunkport, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, after a brief illness.
Susan was born in Biddeford, on Nov. 12,1952, a daughter of Ivan T. and Elizabeth (Hutchins) Wildes and graduated from Kennebunk High School, Class of 1971.
Over the years, Susan was employed by several local business – Port Lobster Co., Ocean National Bank (now the Peoples United Bank), Bradbury’s Market and as postmaster at the Cape Porpoise Post Office all of Kennebunkport. Most recently she worked at a grocery store in Bethel until her illness.
She was member of the Wildwood Fire Department and Women’s Auxiliary of Kennebunkport for over 15 years and member of the Aurora Chapter of Eastern Star of Kennebunkport.
She loved crafts and loved to drive up to the mountains to take in the beautiful scenic views.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by: her son, Steven Hutchins and his fiancee Kelly of Buxton; four grandchildren; several cousins; and her special friend, Robbie of Bethel.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport.
