Southern Maine Community College in South Portland has named Dr. Charles Gregory as its new Dean of Academic Affairs following a nationwide search.

Gregory has served the college for 23 years as a faculty member with stints as department chair, division chair and faculty senate president. He also served as interim academic dean for a year before being named to the permanent post this month.
