PORTLAND — The Portland girl’s soccer team remained unbeaten, topping the visiting Thornton Academy squad 1-0 Wednesday evening.
Portland’s lone goal came from Kate Johnson on a penalty kick. Abbi Cook recorded five saves in goal for the Trojans while Portland’s Taylor Crosby racked up eight.

Kennebunk 3, Gray-New Gloucester 1 (TUESDAY)
The Rams topped Gray-New Gloucester in a physical battle Tuesday night at Memorial Stadium.
Caitlin Wolff scored the Rams’ first goal in the first half, however, GNG would tie the score two minutes later.
Hallie Schwartzman would score later to put the Rams back on top, While Sarah Thill extended the Kennebunk lead with a goal from 20 yard out. Goalie Adia Grogan recorded four saves in the win.
