I’ll be voting to re-elect state Rep. Janice Cooper, D-Yarmouth, in House District 47 and I urge your readers to do the same. Janice has been an outstanding representative – smart, thoughtful and committed – and a staunch supporter of the environment, education, tax reform and relief, and greater access to health care (including opiate-addiction treatment). Her balanced approach – supporting economic growth and the environment, civil liberties and law enforcement, newcomers and old-timers – is what Maine needs. She has been a model legislator for constituent services, providing insightful newsletters and responding quickly to constituent problems and concerns. Perhaps most important, Janice has kept a level head while the governor has lost his. In strong but measured words she has called out the governor’s worst actions and demanded that we all live up to a higher standard. We need her voice in Augusta. Please support Janice Cooper.
