BIDDEFORD — Richard E. Ruck, 86, of Biddeford, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016.

He was born July 3, 1930, to Edward and Serina (Lachance) Ruck, and was educated locally.

Richard was employed with the City of Biddeford for 30 years, and also owned and operated a septic tank service.

On Sept. 29, 1953, he married Jeannette Archambault in Kennebunkport.

Richard enjoyed wintering at his home in Florida with his wife, and spending time with his family at Swan Pond and Little Ossipee Lake.

For over 60 years, he was an active “hands-on” landlord, and until the last days of his life, he was always attentive to the care of his properties and the welfare of his tenants.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman, and a daughter, Shirley Ackerman.
