It has been my great privilege and honor to represent parts of Gorham and Buxton in the state Legislature over the past eight years. Now that I am termed out, I am anxious to pass this privilege on to a person I respect and trust to make wise and thoughtful decisions for the people of Gorham and the state of Maine.

That person is Maureen (Mo) Terry, a resident of Maine over the past 25 years, who has raised her three daughters in Gorham and understands the needs of this community well. Mo brings many excellent skills to this job.

Mo is a small business owner and chef, currently baking her granola right here in town. She serves as a market manager of the Gorham Farmers Market, much loved by the greater Gorham community as a resource for locally grown agricultural products and for supporting our local farmers.

She has a passion to make sure our schools provide the very best education possible and allow every student to succeed. Mo acts on this passion by volunteering on the board of the Gorham Cooperative Preschool and Gorham Education Foundation.

No matter where Mo’s daughters receive their higher education, Mo and her husband Parnell, as with most families, would like to see their children return home to Maine to work and raise their families. This will require more opportunities for good quality jobs in the technology, clean energy and financial sectors. Mo will work toward this goal.

Finally, Mo will work to ensure our seniors are able to stay in their homes and enjoy a secure retirement.

Please join me in voting for Maureen Terry, District 26 state Representative for Gorham, in November.

Rep. Linda Sanborn
