TOPSHAM — Clayton T. Stromski, age 66 of Topsham and Punta Gorda, Fl, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Miami, July 19, 1950 the son of Teresa McDermott and Alexander Stromski. As part of a military family Clay moved throughout his childhood and attended schools in Bermuda, California and New Jersey. He began a career in law enforcement in 1984, the same year he married his best friend, Linda Ellerbee. Clay spent the next 31 years working as a deputy sheriff for Cumberland County, Maine, serving the people of Harpswell.

In his free time, Clay enjoyed reading, working out and spending time with his family. After their retirements last year, he and Linda became snowbirds and spent the winter in warm sunny Punta Gorda, FL, fishing and bird watching.

In addition to his wife Linda, Clay is survived by his daughter Gail Elwell and her husband Keith of Topsham, two granddaughters, Amanda Rogers of Topsham and Kelsey Harrell of Brunswick, four great- grandchildren, Serentity, Ciara, Wyatt and Logan, his father, Alexander Stromski of FLorida, his sister Felicity Giorgelli and her husband Pat, of Maryland, and a brother, Chris Stromski of Virginia.

Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the National MS Society, 74 Gray Rd, Falmouth, ME 04105.
