Garden club making bows

Buy Local group sets annual meeting

The Buy Local Scarborough group will hold its annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at Camp Ketcha. The event features food, live music and oor prizes. The event is free and open to the public. See www.scarboroughbuylocal.com for more information.

Track club offers Turkey Trot 5K

The Maine Track Club will hold its 48th annual Turkey Trot 5K at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, in Cape Elizabeth. Race proceeds will benefit the Wayside Food Programs. The event starts at Cape Elizabeth High School and ends at the middle school on Scott Dyer Road. Runners are also encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable foods. Library offers family matinee

The Scarborough Public Library is offering a matinee showing of the family-friendly movie “Finding Dory” at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. The event is free and open to the public, with popcorn and beverages on offer. The film is rated G and runs 1 hour and 45 minutes.
