The Gorham Planning Board Monday in a 4-0 vote approved a plan by Sebago Brewing Company to build a $5 million headquarters on 6.5 acres on lower Main Street.

Planners Scott Firmin recused and Scott Herrick was absent.

The two-story building will include a brewery, tasting room, event center, warehouse and corporate offices. The company had outgrown its facility in the Gorham Industrial Park.

The company is leasing its new Main Street site from the Shaw Brothers Family Foundation.

In other action, the board postponed action on Jon Smith’s proposal for a five-story, multi-use building at 7 Railroad Ave. The board will continue its review of the project on Monday, Jan. 9.

The board postponed action pending submission of additional information relating to traffic in the neighorhood.
