She is survived by her husband William “Bill” Vassar, three children, six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Internment followed in the State Veterans’ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Bible Baptist Church, 40 Country Squire Rd., Cromwell, CT 06416.
