The Westbrook American reported on Jan. 30,1957, that Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Small of Tolman Street in Westbrook left for Florida where they were to stay for three months.

Funeral services were held in Gorham for Viola Holt of Standish, a widow who died at 81. She was born in Buxton in 1876 and was buried at the Duck Pond Cemetery in Buxton.
