
Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464 is expected to conclude cold weather training exercises soon.
The squadron his been flying CH-53E Super Stallions, the largest rotocraft used by the military, which have been seen over the Midcoast during the past weeks.
Five of these aircraft are based near Hangar 5 at Brunswick Landing and are expected to leave town by today.
Steve Levesque, director of the Midcoast Regional Development Authority, said it’s been an honor to support the squadron, which has been conduct training mostly in the Rangely area but also other parts of New England while using Brunswick as their home base.
