BIDDEFORD — Lucille T. Tardif, 89, of Biddeford, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017.

She was born in Biddeford on April 11, 1927, a daughter of Arthur and Laurieanna (Sylvestre) Fontaine. She attended Biddeford schools.

Lucille was a homemaker who loved raising her family. After her first husband passed away in 1966, she went back to work at the Children’s Shop in Biddeford.

Her family was her life, she enjoyed being with them and they were very close. She also had a great love of dogs and birds.

Mrs. Tardif was a parishioner of the former St. Mary Church in Biddeford.

She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Andre; two daughters, Denise Bernier and Elaine Erickson; one son, Andrew Cote; and two brothers, Jean and Paul Fontaine.

She is survived by: her second husband, Romeo Tardif; three children, Jeannette Legarde and her husband, Richard, Kevin Cote, and Rita Nadeau and her husband, Frank; brother, Robert Fontaine; and son-in-law, Jerry Bernier. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Biddeford.
