SACO — Armand J. Beaulieu Sr., 89, of Saco, passed away late Monday evening on Feb. 13, 2017, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

He was born in Biddeford on June 25, 1927, a son of Arthur and Argena (Bedard) Beaulieu. He was educated in Biddeford schools.

Armand was employed by Maremont Corporation/Saco Defense for 46 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed bowling, riding his moped and raising homing pigeons. Armand had a great love of animals. He also liked working on his house, making bird houses and small wooden wagons for flowers. Most of all, he cherished his family and the time he spent with them.

Mr. Beaulieu was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Guay) Beaulieu, in July 1988, and by one son, Andy Beaulieu, in March 1978. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Robert and Roland, and by three sisters, Jeannette, Lucienne and Etienette.

He is survived by: two sons, Maurice Beaulieu and his wife, Judy, and Armand J. Beaulieu Jr. and his wife, Donna; three daughters, Rachel Beaulieu, Diane Smith and Annette Beaulieu and her partner, Cindy; nine grandchildren, Eric, Brian, Kelly, Robert, Arlan, Jeremy, Adam, Ashley and Dana; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon, with a funeral service at noon Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
