Normand E. Rocheleau, 87, died peacefully on February 7, 2017 at Mid Coast Senior Health in Brunswick, ME. He was born in Lewiston on February 22, 1929, the son of Fernando and Cora St. Pierre Rocheleau.
He attended St. Peter’s School and Bliss College. He was employed as a hotelier for many years, first at the Dewitt Hotel in Lewiston and Thayers Hotel in Littleton, NH. He returned to Maine in 1960 and worked for 27 years with the Sperry and Hutchinson Company (S&H Green Stamps) until his retirement in 1987.
He was a long-time member of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club and The Knights of Columbus. More recently, he delivered Meals on Wheels to Mid-Coast residents.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan R. Moore of Brunswick, a grandson, Matthew D. Moore and his wife, Nicole, of Spokane, WA, and two great grandsons, Keegan M. Moore and Griffin W. Moore.
A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick, ME, on Tuesday, February 21, at Noon. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepard Food Bank, 3121 Hotel Road, Auburn, ME 04210, or Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program, 84-A Union Street, Brunswick, ME 04011.
