
Francis grew up in Barnstable, Massachusetts, graduating from Barnstable High School and joining the Navy. After 23 years with the Navy, he retired and began working for Bath Iron Works, where he continued working on Navy ships. He lived in Bath, Maine until he moved back to the Cape in 2015. He was a friend of Bill W.
Franny is survived by his three children, Troy, Toby and Tracy; his brother, Albert Walls, and his sister, Linda Foster; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
