Russell was a devoted husband and father who worked hard to provide a wonderful life for his family. His love and dedication to his family will always be remembered and cherished.
Russell, a devout Christian, was proud to serve our nation as a United States Marine and also served in the Army Reserves. He took great pride in his near 20 year career with Hobart Food Equipment, and he was also a long time brother of the Casco Masonic Lodge in Yarmouth.
Russell is survived by his loving wife Kristie, and their 14 year old daughter, Hannah who was his pride and joy. He also leaves behind his mothers, Rose Marie Russell, Dawn Mastyk, and Shirley MacInnis, and his step-father Norman Russell, sister, Rosemary McGall and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Robert Freeman, sister, Rosalie Catrett and stepbrother, James Taunton. Russell will forever be in our hearts and will be remembered as a man of honor that loved his wife and daughter with all his heart.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
