An internal investigation of Bath Iron Works’ largest union, the Local S6, continues after an allegation of missing funds last month.
The International Assoication of Machinists and Aerospace Workers launched an investigation of the allegation in late March, hoping to find answers quickly. The investigation, however, continues with no new updates according to an IAM spokesperson.
“The IAM continues to conduct its internal investigation into allegations of missing funds at Local S6,” said IAM spokesperson Jonathan Battaglia. “ We have and will continue to keep our membership informed of any developments. Any allegation of misuse of union funds is treated seriously by this union, and deserves thorough examination.”
