BRUNSWICK
Brunswick police said they arrested a man with a gun early Saturday morning who allegedly threatened to shoot people at a Maine Street night club.
Police were already on-scene, standing by to assist Brunswick Rescue who were responding to a separate medical call at about 1:20 a.m. at the Mytie Lounge according to Brunswick Patrol Cmdr. Tom Garrepy when a fight apparently broke out outside.
According to Garrepy, Jacob Bastarache, 27, of Brunswick drew a handgun and threatening to shoot several people.
No one was hurt and police took Bastarache’s gun, Garrepy said.
Bastarache was charged with Class B aggravated reckless conduct and Class C criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland and is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Superior Court June 20.
