BIDDEFORD — J. Andre Baillargeon, 82, of Biddeford died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Scarborough Terrace.

He was born Jan. 12, 1935 in Biddeford a son of Joseph and Delia (Lamontagne) Baillargeon and was educated locally, graduating from St. Louis High School in the Class of 1954. He then attended the University of Connecticut for two years.

On July 4, 1956 he married Priscilla Desrochers in St. Andre’s Church.

He served seven years in the Naval Reserve.

Andy had been employed for 12 years with Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut; returning to Maine he spent 15 years at Pratt’s North Berwick plant. For 30 years he was a part time real estate broker in the real estate office that he and his wife Priscilla operated.

He was a member of Saco Bay Rotary, and had been recognized by Rotary International as a Paul Harris Fellow. Andy was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council # 12941, a member of the Biddeford 50+ Club; he also served on the board of directors of Counseling Services Inc.

Preceding him in death were sisters Lucille Knox and Therese Petrin and a brother, Robert Baillargeon.

Andy is survived by his wife of 60 years Priscilla Baillargeon of Biddeford; two sons, Donald Baillargeon, his wife Tracy, and their daughter Gabrielle of San Clemente, California and Ronald Baillargeon, his wife Suzanne of Biddeford, and his children Thomas and Scott Baillargeon of Biddeford, Amy Johnson and her husband Derek of Portland; two sisters Yvette Loranger and Lorraine Lamirande; two great-grandchildren Jordan and Briana Baillargeon; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St. Biddeford, ME 04005.
