WELLS — Vera Violet (Dubay) Stevens, 105, died March 30, 2017.
She was born in 1912 in Oakland, Maine and retired from Brooks Woden Mill at the age of 65.
She learned to weave at 15 and worked in the surrounding mills which enabled her to raise 10 children.
She is survived by three children, Majorie Lebarge of Sanford, Margaret Deiran of Sanford and
Paul Marshall of Sanford; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Mount Zion Chaple in Wells, Maine (Route 9B) at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29.
