
He was born in Frenchville, a son of the late Maurice and Marie (Corriveau) Poissonnier.
He is survived by his siblings, Madeline Levesque and her husband, Allyre of Sanford, Lionel Poissonnier of New Britain, Connecticut, Verna Puckett of Nokomis, Florida, Claudette Bard of Bristol, Connecticut, Rita Taylor and her husband, Cliff of North Port, Florida; former wife, Sharon Poissonier of Lebanon; partner, Roxanne Springer of Sanford; step-daughter, Jade Springer of Raymond; sons, Paul Newport and Michael Poissonier; daughter, Julie; and nephews and nieces.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St.. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
