BATH — The Bath Middle School softball team bats lit up through the order to take a dominant 11-7 win over Lewiston to finish its season with a 6- 4 record.
The Destroyers were led early by Hailie Johnson (single, RBI, run), Brook Kulis (single, run), Abby Carpenter ( three, two runs, RBI) and Catelyn Bradford (two singles, two runs, RBI).
Bath stayed aggressive at the plate, with run contribution from Julia Goddard (single, run), Kaylee Creamer (two runs, RBI) and Giorgia Fisher ( single RBI). Camdyn Johnson came out strong both in the batters box ( two singles, triple, two runs, three RBIs) and from the mound, striking out 12 and walking six.
Strong defensive performances for the Destroyers kept an aggressive Lewiston lineup trailing. The Blue Demons had five hits, and their pitching struck out five.
