TOPSHAM — Steve Cox, who has led the varsity boys basketball program at Mt. Ararat High School for the past three seasons, has resigned his position as head coach, athletic director Geoff Godo announced.
“Coach Cox recently submitted his letter of resignation citing personal reasons,” Godo said. “The Mt. Ararat boys basketball program appreciates his passion, commitment and dedication to our student-athletes over the past three years.”
In his three seasons at Mt. Ararat, Cox had a 22-33 overall record, making the postseason in the 2015-2016 season. Most recently, the Eagles concluded a 4-14 season this past winter.
Mt. Ararat has begun its search for the next head coach of the Eagles immediately.
