BRUNSWICK — On Thursday July 20, at 7 p.m. at Portland’s SPACE Gallery, the Cassatt String Quartet, presents a program of new and recent works in tribute to Maine composer Elliott Schwartz and his wife, printmaker Deedee Schwartz. The concert is part of the 15th annual Seal Bay Festival of American Chamber Music’s 10-days of concerts and events in Belfast, Vinalhaven, Waterville, and Portland.
Elliott Schwartz, who died in 2016, taught at Bowdoin College for over 45 years, and was also a long time friend of the Seal Bay Festival.
